Brussels loving

Remember when I spoke about our dream to become location independent? To assist with this I’m taking more of an active participation in our travel site; I wrote recently about what to do in Brussels because I think Brussels is one place that is unfortunately not always highly rated on the Europe travel list and it is an awesome city.

We stayed in a beautiful B&B just outside of the city with my Dad and his girlfriend. Having a bath while looking out over this backyard was so bloody relaxing.

The TinTin museum was a massive highlight for geeks like us. They had a Tibet room which highlighted the beauty of this country along with the plight of it’s people, it was really amazing to see.

Brussels is known for it’s giant cartoon murals dotted all over the city but the street art in general was impressive.

Muscles in Brussels with my Papa.

Yum. That is all.

We stumbled across this beautifully restored medieval castle, we spent hours exploring it. It was one of the best castles I’ve seen in Europe and I’ve seen a few…

Not a bad view.

Beautiful Brussels.

In the post I wrote about things to do in Brussels I mentioned the flea markets and the surrounding streets filled with curiosity shops, my kind of Heaven.

Brussels really surprised me with it’s laidback atmosphere, incredibly friendly people and beautiful city. If you have been to Brussels let me know what you think of this quiet city.

Gosh! It looks (and sounds) gorgeous! :)

I’m making lots of future plans at the moment, and high on the list is doing more travel … doing it lightly, and making home much less of an anchor. I shall be looking to you for inspiration! :)

Something ate my comment! Repeat: I love you girl, your smile, your pics and your chasing of dreams. My friend spent a year in Brussels on exchange after high school and she always speaks so fondly of it and returns to visit her “family” there. x

Wonderful photo essay! I have to admit those delicious looking ‘waffle’ types snacks look soooo good right now considering I’m on a diet :P
